The Family

The Family, Martina Cole.

I'm a HUGE fan of Martina Cole as you can probably tell, this book as a whole was brilliant.. It took me ages to read however, I don't know if that was because I couldn't focus or because I couldn't get into it as well as her previous books I've read - I'm not sure of the reason, as I said the book was brilliant.
It starts off with a bit of the ending and then takes you back to the start where you meet Christine, an innocent young girl with an awful mum. You also have Phillip Murphy, eldest son of Veronica and the strongest link of the Murphy family. The story follows Christine's life through the years and the price to pay for making the wrong decisions on your way. I'm not gonna say much more because I don't see the point in telling you what happens - READ IT! The blurb gives away enough as it is in my opinion! If your a big reader I definitely recommend it .. Light readers may find the size of it too much.

Im flat-sitting for my Grandma & Grandad for two days whilst they're on a mini break kind of thing.. Some where in Devon - hardly exciting! So the 3 first things that excitedly jump into my mind whilst thinking of the perks were; FOOD - every grandparents' house is loaded with food we all know that, the printer (we don't have one at home) & last but definately not least.. Their coffee machine! So long boring cheap instant coffee mum buys... Hello a whole new coffee world.. Enter the KitKat Kappaccino.

To make one you will need:

  • A coffee machine.. or a cappacino sachet but it wont be the same
  • 1 KitKat
  • Espresso for coffee machine
  • Milk
  • Grater
It's really simple all you do is make a cappaccino (1 espresso shot with steamed milk) add sugar to taste, pile the froth on top. Break the KikKat into two fingers, grate on on top of the froth (best to use a refrigerated KitKat as mine melted all over my hand) and place the other one in like a flake in a 99.. Just like that you've got a posh afternoon pick me up at home!

Travel to do list

As soon as I get a job I am saving up for a car, insurance etc etc.. because this week I passed my driving test YAAAY. I'm currently LONGING to travel new places. Granted I'll start small in the UK but then I want to go EVERYWHERE...Maybe I could blog about it, maybe that would be more interesting?

But right now in my jobless immobile state I can only dream, and this post is gonna help me get it outta my system for a couple hours.

Five Guys

I was reading TheLondoner's blog when I came across a page about the fast food restaurant Five Guys.. Unfortunately we don't have one in the UK but as soon as I get over to the US it's on my to do list! The food looks amazing! Check out the link to see what I'm talking about.

The Village Bicycle

Ok so I now probably look like I'm obsessed with TheLondoner's blog as she has shown me yet another place I HAVE to see.. This one a boutique.. Its good to keep it a secret but I don't think I have any readers anyways so its safe on this post.. I'll leave the honours to Rose to show you this must see boutique... (this ones a lil closer to home than Five Guys) : Looook Here!

Move over Instagram

I've been boiling to the brim with jealousy of all current iPhone owners for a long time now. A complete change of heart considering I've forever been team Blackberry & been convinced that a BB trumps an iPhone 10 times over. This was all down to a lovely app called Instagram. I've wasted hours of my life admiring other blogger's Instagram pictures longing that my contract will run out in no time and I can then do the switch (that most BB users have been doing..) But then on one faithful, beautiful day.. after admitting defeat, I was browsing Blackberry App World at all the camera apps in order to find something to distract me from the said iPod app, when i discovered my savior.. MOLOME... I'm not aware of any of my friends using it.. But they bloody well should.. It's basically the Instagram for Blackberry (probably not as good but good enough to keep me happy).  So now I can join the 'My week on Instagram' cult except I'll be using Molome.. If there's any Blackberry users with the same problem this is your answer!

Morning teapot of tea to get me started.
Wake & Bake (one of my favorite pictures)
Banana smoothie - It was gorgeous I did myself proud.
The cute beads I got from Ebay (The colours aren't as bright as the photo portrays - but still cute).

Baby Noah makes a debut on my blog! How beautiful is this pic!
My to die for shoes from New Look (they broke the second time I wore them and I'm very broken over it but that's what D.I.Y is for people!)

That's all for now folks!
