something personal...

When my life comes crashing down before me, it’s you who I turn to. When I’ve had the best day of my life, I share it with you. When I conquer my fears or shed a few tears, it’s always you.
It’s you I need in my darkest hour, I want you in my highest moment. I can’t imagine how i’ll cope the day you walk away. What I can imagine is you and I; I only want you, no other guy.

When I look back at how we met I wonder if it was fate, all the odds were against us and yet here we are mate. OK so I’m not your girl, and it pains me every day. But since the night I met you, I haven’t been the same.

I don’t think you quite get it, I’m crazy for you. No question about it, not a single doubt. Without you around the days are long, but the hope that you’ll soon be around keeps me going strong. I don’t know why I’m rhyming this isn’t meant to be a song. But then again this is just my feelings, there is no right or wrong.

Every minute spent with you feels like a second, every hour without you feels like a decade.
I can’t even watch a romantic film without missing you. I don’t want us to be perfect i just want us to be an us. I’d never let you go, never see you get hurt. I’d always have your back and be right by your side. I want to be there for you when your times are hard and I wanna be the first person you share your triumphs with.

It sounds so cliche, everything I'm saying. But I can't stress enough how much you mean to me. You may not realise but you make me a better person, a person I wanna be. I want to leave behind all the things that bring me down, move on and up with you in hand.

I’ll probably never tell you all this, it will probably forever be unsaid. Each time I try it will just remain in my head. When I can’t see you, after getting my hopes up, it feels like my chest is about to collapse. No one’s ever had such a strong hold on me like you and I didn’t even see it coming, I just fell.. Heart first.

A golden Ticket!

So I'm posting this in case anyone else appreciates this as much as my sister and I..
I have a bit of an Ebay problem sometimes, occurs every time i get paid money i don't need and instead of saving i impulse buy.. so one day i though about treating me and my sister to something we'd always talked about and lusted after whenever we'd had munchies...

Its not an official one but its a replica which i thought was better as it actually looks like the ones on the film! The chocolate was only cheap what i call Christmas chocolate (the chocolate you get in Christmas tree decorations and stuff like that) but i just so happen to love that kind of chocolate so i was made up

And the best bit? you actually get a golden ticket! you can just see the edge of it in this picture, however someone used my ticket for roach which broke my heart so I didn't get to take a picture. I did take a pic of my sisters though,.. Although i was disappointed that it didn't look like the one in the film i let my childish side take over and was just happy to say i had one!

I got this Wonka bar from HERE ...

Dangerous Lady

"No one thinks a seventeen-year-old girl can take on the hard men of London's gangland, but it's a mistake to underestimate Maura Ryan: she's tough, clever and beautiful - which makes her one very dangerous lady.Together, she and her brother Michael are unbeatable but notoriety has its price. The police are determined to put away Maura once and for all - and not everyone in the family think that's such a bad idea. When it comes to the crunch, Maura has to face the pain of lost love in her past - and the dangerous lady discovers her heart is not make entirely of stone."

This was my first Martina Cole book, recommended to me by a friend and it was one of the most amazing reads ever. The story line was never dull and it really was the definition of a book you cant put down. Following Maura's story is once again moving and inspiring - Martina really rocks the girl power vibe as she does best. Even if your not a big reader I seriously recommend you read this book if nothing else!

Coming one day soon (after I read it) the sequal to Dangerous Lady: Maura's Game.

Faceless

One of many of my Martina Cole collection, this has to be one of my favourites! With a gritty, mature & captivating story line, I couldn't put this book down - Even when walking through the city centre.

The story is based on Marie Carter, a former prostitute and drug addict, now in her 30's, who has done a 12 year stretch in prison for murder. Her mother despises her, her sister isn't too keen on her either, her brother is dead and she is left with the slightest glimmer of love from her father, not that her mother would ever let him show Marie he cares. Not to mention she has two children who are now young adults with their own families and don't want anything to do with her either.

Marie manages to stay at a half way house, get a job and make some friends - and enemies, along the way. She demonstrates the greatest effort to re-unite with her kids always trying no matter the setback. However Marie's heart is broken to find that history is repeating itself and her daughter is following in each and every one of her footsteps day by day. Can Marie save her daughter? And where is her son?

Martina Cole pulls you into Marie Carter and you feel so much compassion and sorrow for the character, but at the same time she inspires women everywhere the way she portrays Marie to be so strong even after hitting rock bottom.

The story has a fantastic ending that i didn't see coming and it produced so much emotion that i was shaking with a mix of feelings i remained silent for a good 10 minutes after in complete awe of this woman's amazing book.

I don't wanna share too much as i will ruin it for you but i seriously recommend you get stuck into this book! Girl power.

Cupcake Practice

I have always had a fascination with Cupcakes, especially since they've become some how chic and fashionable - but much to my dismay I'm a long shot from creating a cupcake that resembles something more than a not so bad cake with a dollop of badly presented icing on the top... Ah well practice makes perfect.. here are some of my attempts..

These I only practiced the icing on the cakes were already bought.. not bad I guess ?

I decided to make a different cake, rock buns but in paper cases, i guess they re more heavy cakes really.. then i iced them with butter cream icing and sprinkles.

I suppose when your presentation is amateur at least your not to scared to devour the delicious cake because its too pretty :D

I guess if I practice anymore I'll keep adding pics to my collection.

smoothie time

Strawberries & Oranges:

This one is real quick and easy & only uses simple fruits so you don't have to run to the supermarket!

All you got to do is get roughly 5 to 6 oranges and 4 large or 6 small strawberries ( to fill three champagne glasses or two cups) - I hadn't done the dishes! chuck them in the blender along with 20 ml water, a handful of ice cubes, 3 desert spoonfuls of sugar and a teaspoon of honey and blenddddddddddd. And there you have a sexy tasting smoothie.. add the vodka according to your taste and it doubles up as a cocktail!
